Volunteer Opportunities

Shir Tikvah Opportunities

Rides Coordinator - The Caring Committee (Yad b'Yad) is seeking a volunteer to coordinate rides to services. For further details please contact Chris.

Volunteer Drivers Needed - Are you willing to provide a ride to and from Shir Tikvah for Friday or Saturday services, even on an occasional basis? The Caring Community is in need of drivers for people who would like to attend services but need transportation assistance. Matches will  be made  based on where volunteer drivers are located. Before making the match, a Caring Community volunteer will speak directly the requestor to understand their needs. If you are available to perform this mitzvah, or simply would like to learn more, please contact Chris Bargeron at 952.237.6054.

Meals & Cards - The Caring Committee (Yad b'Yad) is seeking a volunteer to coordinate meals and cards for congregants following surgery, illness, or a difficult time. For further details please contact Chris.

Shammas - Ensure proper handling of building logistics for each service. Contact Sara for further details.

Room Parents - Each Religious School grade has one or two room parents whose major role is to “take a class and turn it into a community.”

Room parents arrange for potluck Shabbat dinners, field trip carpools, and support teachers with special classroom activities. Being a room parent is a great way to meet other Shir Tikvah families.  Contact Rabbi Simon for more information.
