Exploring White Privilege
Mondays throughout April & May, 6:30-8:00pm
After the pilot course in November on the roots of racism, the RJTF is offering a deep exploration of white privilege during the months of April and May, in 2 sessions, each session beginning with a Jewish text study.
In April, Using materials from the URJ Tool kit, Racial Equity materials and Beloved Conversations excerpts, we'll focus on examining White Privilege (for those who took the Beloved Conversations Cycle, we'll dig deeper into the different levels of oppression), understanding how to disrupt micro-aggressions and more. The April sessions will be facilitated by Felecia Boone and Tamar Ghidalia.
In May we'll focus on in-depth strategies to undo racism and build an anti-racist community.
April Session: Monday 4/6, 4/13, & 4/20
May Session: Monday 5/4, 5/11, 5/18
$36 per session; you can attend April and/or May, but we strongly recommend attending both sessions.
