JCA Action Havorah

On Tisha B'av Jews around the world gather for the saddest day of the year. We mourn the destruction of the Temple and the presence of oppression, colonialism and capitalism that continues to tear apart communities. In our tradition, grief is not to be experienced alone. This year, our sorrow feels especially heavy and so our need for community, for ritual, for processing space for our grief, is particularly palpable. We invite you to gather with the JCA Action Havorah in observance of Tisha B'Av on Sunday, July 22 from 4 - 5:30 at the Federal Whipple Building, the location of the ICE Regional Administrative Office and Courts. Together, we will draw on our tradition to grieve the family separation and deportations headquartered in that building, honoring that just as our grief are interconnected, so too is our liberation.  For more information, please contact Abbie Shain abbie.shain@gmail.com
