The members of Shir Tikvah represent a broad spectrum of Jewish experience. We have come together to form a progressive, inclusive community that is committed to Judaism.

At Shir Tikvah, we rejoice in celebrating the Jewish holidays together, and we welcome members our congregation to the bimah for participation in services. Music at our services is provided by member volunteers.

Shabbat services are designed to allow children to participate at the beginning of the service. Child care is provided for younger children at services and most other events.

We provide many ways for our members to be leaders of our congregation. Our bylaws ensure that all members have the chance to significantly influence the direction of our synagogue. Our meetings have been described as "robust, with many thoughtful members of the congregation willing to speak up and be heard."

Copies of the bylaws and the budget are automatically sent to all new members.
